Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. (Ps 121:4)
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have NO MIGHT, He increases strength. (Isa 40:28-29)
Encourage yourself with the knowledge that God does not grow faint or weary. God does not sleep, but He watches over us protectively and lovingly. He doesn’t forget about us or lose interest in us! We are “on His mind” continuously because of His great love for each and every one of us.
Here are a few ways in which God showed His love for us:
- In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. (1 Jo 4:9 – See also, Jo 3:16-17; Ro 5:6-10) God loves us so much that He sent His only Son into the world so that we could live through Him.
- Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. (1 Jo 3:1-2) He calls us His children.
- For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Ro 8:38-39) Nothing can separate us from His love!
