For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.  (2 Cor 6:2, emphasis added)

As I understand it, this verse is the Lord’s way of encouraging us to have an active, expectant faith for whatever our need may be.  The type of faith this verse encourages is one that says, “Today is the day of salvation!  Hurrah! God has answered me today.  Praise the Lord Most High.”

This verse imparts a wonderful sense of hope and the expectation of the fulfillment of God’s promises—the sort of any-moment-now excitement of receiving a wonderful gift and blessing any moment.  This is a result of a clear understanding of how much God loves each one of us, and how He greatly He loves to answer our prayers, help us, and to meet our needs.

“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I hope [confidently expect] in Him!” (Lam 3:24)

Someone once said: "God votes for you. The devil votes against you. YOURS is the Deciding Vote!" Think about the truth of this statement, and how important your own thoughts, words, and decisions are in your life! Family; music; reading; writing articles; and doing Bible research are some of my favorite things. I believe that God is good and that He loves mankind all of the time. He's never in a bad mood! He is our Savior, Deliverer, Healer, Reconciler, Provider and Protector. He desires a loving relationship with each and every human being. Praise God! I've served the Lord for 54 years in various ways--mostly in the background and in church clerical and administrative functions. Eventually, I was promoted and given more responsibility. I was asked to teach and to co-lead the Healing Ministry with my husband. Ultimately, the Lord blessed me by calling me as an Associate Pastor for nearly 8 years before I retired. I love serving the Lord and His people!
