Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. LOVE NEVER FAILS. (1 Cor 13:4-8, emphasis added)
This passage in Scripture is intended to demonstrate to us the very nature of God. Since God IS love (1 John 4:8, emphasis added), this passage is a revelation of God!
Love (God) has patience with our humanity and our failings. Love (God) is active in presenting all manner of good gifts to us! Love is unselfish and displays good manners and courtesy. Love thinks no evil, but rejoices in the truth, aggressively advertising the good.
God never gives up on people, but He affirms their future. Love endures all things, persevering and remaining loyal to the end. Our Savior—our Intercessor—NEVER FAILS! Praise the Lord most High.
