So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void. But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isa 55:11, emphasis added)
“It shall not return to Me void” means that God’s Word will not return to Him empty, or without producing fruit.
Hallelujah! God’s Word is powerful and sure of fulfillment; it accomplishes its task.
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever. (Isa 40:8)
Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it. (Isa 46:10-11)
. . . but the word of the Lord endures forever. (1 Pet 1:25)
The Lord says that when He has spoken something, it is a guarantee that HE WILL bring it to pass. It’s not uncertain, but it is inevitable!
