Eternal Life

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.  (Joh 17:3)

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.  (Joh 3:14, 15)

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.  (Joh 10:28)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  (Rom 6:23, emphasis added)

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.  (1 Joh 5:11)

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.  (1 Joh 5:20)

To gain and experience eternal life, we’re called to come to know the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent.  Eternal life is a gift from God which we receive by faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.  This eternal life is IN Jesus who has made a way for us to enter into a close relationship with our heavenly Father. 

It requires no striving on our part because Jesus has done all that needed to be done for our salvation.  (Joh 17:4; 19:30) 

All we need to do is to place our complete faith and trust in Jesus as our Savior and Redeemer. (Joh 3:16; Heb 12:2; Eph 2:8; Gal 2:16)  Glory to God!
