We Must Bear Fruit to the Father’s Glory

We Must Bear Fruit to the Father’s Glory

How does a Christian bear fruit? If, as believers, we pursue goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love, we will be fruitful no matter where we are called.

This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. (Joh 15:8 NIV)

I pray that you will then be filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes from Jesus Christ, in order to give glory and praise to God. (Phil 1:11 CEB)

I am the vine, you are the branches. The one who abides in me while I abide in him produces much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. (Joh 15:5 ISV)

When we bear fruit, we bring glory to God the Father, and we prove ourselves to be the Lord’s followers. The key to fruitfulness is abiding in Christ and being aware, moment by moment, of His presence and His love at work in our lives.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Gal 5:22-23) Every GOOD tree bears GOOD fruit. (Mt 7:17) Each and every believer is a good tree, and every believer has been given the fruit of the Spirit.

The Lord tells us clearly in John 15:5:

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

We must abide in Christ always, because without Him, we are powerless and can accomplish nothing. But with Him, nothing is impossible! Hallelujah!

When God Speaks, His Word is Fulfilled

When God Speaks, His Word is Fulfilled

The Bible establishes the truth that when God speaks, His word is fulfilled.

Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. (Gen 1:3 NKJV)

Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled. (Josh 21:45 NIV)

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made; all the heavenly bodies by the breath of his mouth. (Ps 33:6 ISV)

For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood firm. (Ps 33:9 NASB)

For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. (Lk 1:37 AMP)

God’s words are always realized (executed). God is dependable and faithful to His word—unlike human beings. He is a Being that it’s safe to put our trust in.

God’s word is tested, tried and proven. His word will always bear fruit no matter how people act, what people utter or what people believe. Glory to God!

Whenever we choose to believe and act upon the timeless word of God, God will cause that word to be performed in our lives. It will surely come to be. Understanding the faithfulness of God’s word strengthens our faith and enables us to trust in His word.

I’m sure about this: the one who started a good work in you will stay with you to complete the job by the day of Christ Jesus. (Phil 1:6 CEB)

We can also be assured, as the above Scripture passage above verifies, that the work the Lord has begun in each of His children will be fully completed. God bless you.

What’s Your Decision?

What’s Your Decision?

Whom would you rather serve? You would do well to read our last blog titled Two Paths. It will shed light upon this article.

Every human being on earth must make a decision whether to serve Jesus, the Son of the Living God; or to serve satan, known as the accuser of the brethren. (Rev 12:10)

What does the Bible say about Jesus? I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (Joh 10:10b NKJV)

The Scriptures warn us to “make our election sure.” The Lord tells us in His Word how each and every believer may confirm and safeguard his future in eternity:

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Pet 1:5-11 NKJV, emphasis added)

After we have accepted the Lord Jesus as our Savior and Redeemer, we do well to submit ourselves to the cleansing that comes to us through daily reading and meditation upon the Bible. Read for yourself the truth of this statement:

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. (Eph 5:25-27 NKJV, underscoring added)

Also, the Holy Spirit will teach us and lead us into all truth as we read the Word of God regularly. (Joh 16:13)

Trust the Lord to teach you and to guide you. Allow Him to make changes in your life day by day, year by year, and decade by decade. In so doing, you will bear fruit and make your calling and election sure! God bless you.
