Anointed

Hi, there! How’s your day been going? I’m so happy you’ve looked in.

Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God . . . (2 Cor. 1:21)

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. (1 John 2:20)

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. (1 John 2:27)

As believers in Jesus Christ, we’ve been anointed by God; and we carry His presence with us everywhere. That’s an awesome thought, isn’t it?

The anointing that we carry is the power of God to break bondages; heal the sick; raise the dead; set the captives free; and initiate supernatural, miraculous events. (Mt 10:7-8; Heb 2:4)

God loves mankind and He desires that all people would be born again. (Jo 10:28; 2 Pet 3:9) He wants us, His children and co-laborers, to demonstrate His great love and mercy to the world. He has given us an anointing to represent Him to all people.

When signs and wonders follow us, God is bearing witness to the word of His grace by granting signs and wonders to be done through our hands. (Acts 14:3) EXPECT God’s miraculous power, operating through the anointing upon you, to be in evidence in your life! Be bold to pray for people to receive God’s love, blessings, and presence in their lives and watch God perform wondrous things through YOU.

God is in a Good Mood

Here’s a great idea: God is in a good mood! Yes, He is. Here are some concepts to mull over.

And God can give you more blessings than you need. Then you will always have plenty of everything—enough to give to every good work.¹ Because God IS good and because He loves you, not only is He able to give you more blessings than you need but He is eager and WILLING to do so! ²

Give thanks to the Lord because he is good. His love continues forever.³ God’s love for us continues forever—it’s nonstop! And His goodness towards each one of His children is nonstop. That’s another way to say that He’s in a good mood. He views each one of us as the person that He has created us to be, fulfilling His call upon our lives and bringing glory to the Kingdom of God. How could He not be in a good mood when He thinks of us with perfect love⁴ so therefore His expectations for us are good?

God is good and His nature influences everything about Him. His own goodness and love for His creation keeps Him in a “good mood,” which is a human concept, of course. It’s a wonderful way to think of God, though; because thanks to Jesus, we are able to communicate with and approach the Lord always, for any reason.⁶ Hurray!

A New Point of View

Hello and welcome! Today we’re considering a new way of beholding, observing, or regarding.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Sam 16:7)

In these verses, we’re reminded that God knows our hearts and regards each of us according to His unique, all-encompassing point of view. He knows each and every one of us better than we know ourselves!

In 2 Corinthians, the writer admits that even though he used to regard Jesus from a human point of view, he does so no longer. Why is this important? Perhaps because the Holy Spirit was able give Paul revelation into Jesus’ identity as Messiah, Refuge, High Tower, Rock, etc., etc. In other words, the Holy Spirit can accurately show us more than we can ever observe or learn on our own.

God sees us as we truly are—as who He created us to be; and His perception of each one of us is accurate!

God’s TRUTH (His Word) says that we are:

God’s children (John 1:12)
Set free (Romans 6:18, 22)
Redeemed (Luke 1:68; Gal. 3:13)
Accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6)
Made strong (Acts 3:16; 2 Cor. 13:9)
Justified (Romans 5:1)
Healed (1 Peter 2:24)
His seed (Romans 11:1; 1 John 3:9)
His representatives (Matt. 28:19;John 8:31; 13:35)

Adopt a new point of view concerning yourself, and it will change EVERYTHING! See yourself the way that God sees you, and it will revolutionize your life!

You’re Delivered: Celebrate!

Good day, friends. Here are thoughts that will encourage you!

For He has delivered me out of all trouble; and my eye has seen its desire upon my enemies. (Psalm 54:7 NKJV – emphasis added)

Through salvation—the perfect atoning work of Jesus Christ—God has already delivered you out of ALL trouble. The Lord has given victory to the upright (Prov 2:7), and promises that those who seek Him shall not lack any good thing! (Ps 34:10)

Be patient and persistent in trusting the Lord and His Word. Expect good things to happen to you and for you.

Salvation has delivered you from all of the curse of the law. (Gal. 3:13) Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. (Acts 10:38)

The good news is: Jesus hasn’t changed! (Hebrews 13:8) You’ve been set free—delivered—and cleansed! You are loved. You are victorious! Celebrate God’s goodness in your life!

Let’s Talk About Sin!

How are you today? Is there any doubt in your mind about the definition of sin? No, I thought not!

Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. (James 4:17 NKJV) The operative word here is knows. The majority of us know what is the right (or good) thing to do in most situations; and we know whether or not we have done it.

Sin is not only actively committing evil deeds; it is also passively failing to do something good that you KNOW that God wants you to do! Should you admit to the clerk that she gave you too much change, and return it to her? If you didn’t do it, then that was sin, because you knew it was the right thing to do. Did you feel nudged to apologize to your friend for something hurtful that you said to her? Did you consider giving an offering to a ministry or organization that has blessed and ministered to you? If you didn’t do it . . . then that was sin. You get the idea!

God wants us live a life of faith, led by the Holy Spirit’s promptings and our obedience to Him! We all need to learn to be more sensitive and obedient to that still, small voice that we recognize as the Lord’s voice! When we don’t obey God’s voice (His promptings to our hearts and minds), it is sin.

Accept Correction from God

Hello, folks! God wants us to receive (even welcome) His correction, which is always done in love.

Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, but he who regards a rebuke will be honored. (Prov 13:18) When you “regard” something, you respect and consider it. You take it seriously and allow it to influence you.

Proverbs 15:5 says that the one who receives correction is prudent. Prudent means careful, sensible, wise, and far-sighted. Many Scriptures tell us that it is foolish and harmful to disdain or refuse correction. (See Proverbs 3:11; 10:17; 12:1; 15:10; 15:31, 32; 16:22; Jeremiah 7:28; Zephaniah 3:2)

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. . . (2 Tim 3:16 – emphasis added) This verse is referring to an admonition, rebuke, or chastisement. It reminds us that the Word of God is given to us for many different purposes, including correction.

God corrects us so that He may make us complete and thoroughly equipped for every good [virtuous, moral, upright] work. (2 Tim 3:17)

We must cooperate with the Master when He corrects us, and He will make each one of us into a vessel of honor. (Rom 9:20, 21) Praise God!

We Serve the Prince of PEACE

Greetings and felicitations. What type of an atmosphere do you carry with you?

Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (James 3:18) The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace. We must always sow [any kind of seed] in an atmosphere of harmony, reconciliation, and goodwill.

Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. (Heb 12:11) Chastening is linked to the fruit of righteousness! Isn’t that a surprise? Chastening is correction, and correction yields fruit when we have allowed ourselves to be trained (or changed) by it. We receive a deep sense of peace as well as divine fruit when we submit to the Lord’s loving correction.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we carry peace within us at all times; and we should sow words of peace, as well. This is fitting because Jesus is the Prince of Peace. (Isa. 9:6)

The Spirit of wisdom would suggest that we yield to a human opponent or antagonist, because in James 3:17, the Word says heavenly wisdom is pure and peaceable!

We must allow our actions to be guided by the Holy Spirit who lives within each one of us The Lord has given us the fruit of the Spirit. (Gal 5:22) Peace is a fruit of the spirit, and since we have peace within each one of us, we must:

sow (spread, plant, scatter) peace and
make (create, formulate, generate, produce) peace.

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. (2 Cor. 5:18) To reconcile means to reunite people to each other or to resolve disagreements among people. As believers, we should be dedicated to peacemaking and reconciliation, as well as forgiving those who have injured or offended us.

If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. (Romans 12:18) Carry an atmosphere of peace, sow peace, and allow peace to reign in your hearts at all times, because we are empowered by the Prince of Peace.

The Gifts That You Were Given

Happy beautiful day to you! We rejoice and are glad in this day! (Ps 118:24)

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (1 Pe 4:10 KJV)

Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel. (1 Cor 14:12)

Every believer has received gifts and talents from the Lord. God wants us to use the gifts that He has entrusted to us for the strengthening and encouragement of fellow believers. God wants us to be good stewards or managers of these precious gifts.

Your gifts may be extensive; you may have gifts such as: faith; musical ability; artistic talent; patience; organizational ability; mercy; mathematical aptitude; peace; perceptiveness; or whatever. Invite the Lord to show you how He would like you to use the gifts that He has given you in order to bless other people and to further His kingdom.

If you have a calm and peaceful spirit combined with good note-taking skills, your boss may direct you to attend most meetings with him. He may not realize why! He may say that he wants you to take notes, but it may really (spiritually) be that he just feels better and thinks more clearly when you’re there! In reality, you carry a beneficial atmosphere into the room. These are God’s divine gifts, and they work supernaturally.

Don’t forget that, as you mature spiritually and chronologically, more gifts will bloom in your life. Seek the Lord’s guidance, and He will teach you the best use of all of your gifts!
